The capital of the Philippines, Metro Manila, is also considered the shopping capital, obviously because of the many malls and discounted stores (some housed in steel buildings) that are scattered around the Metro, delighting female and male shopaholics alike.
Of course, there are high-end malls with designer merchandise like at Greenbelt, but if you are looking for discounted wares for your personal use, for mixing and matching different outfits without the added costs, or even for retail selling in your province or online, then it is best to go bargain hunting at wholesale malls.
The most frequented places would be Greenhills, Quiapo and Divisoria. These places are famous for really cheap items, whatever it may be you’re looking for. So, for example, you are a businesswoman selling RTW in your shop in the province, you will find that buying from these places could give you a great profit margin for your business. And you don’t have to travel abroad, like Hong Kong, Malaysia, or Thailand, in order to search for the suppliers of these clothes. Sellers from these bargain places in the Metro price their products very competitively so you get to save on your travel expenses in going abroad. But, make sure you also haggle as the stores here actually allow you that, unlike when shopping at malls.
By the way, you simply MUST see my post about this store in Divisoria (pictured above) where they sell a lot of affordable gift items that are perfect come Christmas season. I’m still not able to provide the exact location of their warehouse, but I’m hoping on my next trip to this place, I’ll be able to take note of the landmarks. 😉
